Why has your vacuum lost suction?
Vacuum cleaners can lose their suction power for several reasons.
Here are some tips that might be helpful.
Check the dust bag or container!
If your vacuum cleaner has lost suction, it might be time to empty the container or replace the bag. Some vacuum cleaners are equipped with an indicator that warns the user if the bag is full or if the machine is clogged.
Check the filters!
Some vacuum cleaners come equipped with multiple filters. Over time these filters can become clogged if not cleaned or replaced, causing the appliance to lose suction.
Check that the hose is not blocked!
A clogged hose will cause the appliance to lose suction. Disassemble the hose and attachments to make sure there are no foreign objects, dust, or hairballs restricting the airflow.
Check the hose for cracks or cuts!
A damaged hose will let the air escape causing it to lose suction.
Make sure all components are connected correctly!
Loose fittings will cause the vacuum cleaner to lose suction. Make sure the dust bag or container, hose, and filter gaskets are correctly installed.
If you still have difficulties with your vacuum performance bring it to Ace Vacuums and we will do our best to get your vacuum running like new again!
