Available: Call 703-997-9292

Quick Summary

The Miele Triflex HX1 is a cordless stick vacuum with a three-in-one design for floor cleaning, above-floor work, and compact cleaning tasks. Its PowerUnit can be repositioned to change the vacuum’s balance and reach, while the MultiFloor XXL Electrobrush is designed for different types of flooring.

Material number 11423890 is specified by Miele as the Triflex HX1 in ruby red velvet. The machine has a replaceable 25.2-volt lithium-ion battery, a 0.5-liter dust container, Vortex Technology, electronic suction control, and a maintenance-free Hygiene Lifetime Filter.

  • Three switchable configurations for different cleaning tasks
  • Up to 60 minutes of runtime in PowerUnit Solo mode at the low setting
  • Up to 34 minutes with the MultiFloor XXL Electrobrush at the low setting
  • 11-inch MultiFloor XXL Electrobrush for different floor types
  • Includes crevice nozzle, dust brush, upholstery nozzle, wall mount, and power supply

Product Overview

The Miele Triflex HX1 combines a cordless format with a flexible three-in-one design. Its PowerUnit contains the motor assembly, rechargeable battery, and dust bin, and it can be repositioned in a few seconds to change how the vacuum handles.

For floor cleaning, positioning the PowerUnit close to the floor shifts the center of gravity and allows the vacuum to stand upright unsupported. Moving the PowerUnit below the handle helps the HX1 reach below furniture and supports ceiling cleaning when the electrobrush is removed. The PowerUnit can also be used on its own for smaller jobs such as crumbs on a table or cleaning a car.

The included MultiFloor XXL Electrobrush is 11 inches wide and is designed for different flooring types. Miele specifies automatic floor detection and power adjustment, along with electronic suction control through a three-level slide control.

The HX1 uses a 0.5-liter dust container and a three-stage filtration approach described by Miele. Coarse dirt collects in the bin, fine particles are retained by the fine dust filter, and the Hygiene Lifetime Filter is used for discharged air without a stated replacement or maintenance interval.

Expert Recommendation

We recommend the Triflex HX1 for shoppers who want one cordless machine that can move between floors, furniture, stairs, ceilings, and compact above-floor tasks. The replaceable battery is useful for owners who value the option to exchange the battery, while the supplied wall mount provides a dedicated storage and charging solution.

The standard HX1 may be a better fit than another Triflex model when the listed configuration, MultiFloor electrobrush, and Hygiene Lifetime Filter meet your needs. Miele identifies the HX1 Cat & Dog and HX1 Pro as the Triflex variants with a HEPA Lifetime Filter and BrilliantLight LED headlight; those features are not listed for material number 11423890.

Best For

Hardwood Floors

The MultiFloor XXL Electrobrush is designed to adapt to different floor types, making the HX1 suitable for homes with hard flooring.

Carpet and Rugs

The included motorized MultiFloor electrobrush is specified for all types of flooring, including carpeted areas.

Stairs

The cordless design and repositionable PowerUnit make it easier to change the vacuum’s balance for stair and above-floor cleaning.

Apartments

The three configurations cover floor cleaning, furniture access, and small handheld jobs without requiring a separate corded vacuum for each task.

Above-Floor Cleaning

The PowerUnit Solo mode is intended for tasks such as removing crumbs from a breakfast table or cleaning a car.

Homes With Mixed Flooring

Automatic floor detection and electronic power adjustment help the electrobrush transition between different surfaces.

Not Ideal For

  • Not ideal for shoppers who require unlimited runtime from a continuously powered corded vacuum.
  • Not ideal if a HEPA Lifetime Filter or BrilliantLight LED headlight is a requirement; Miele lists those features for the HX1 Cat & Dog and HX1 Pro, not this standard HX1 source record.
  • Not ideal for commercial or industrial cleaning, since the provided information identifies it as a household cordless stick vacuum.
  • Not ideal for buyers who specifically want a canister vacuum format rather than a cordless stick design.

Key Features

  • Three-in-one design: The PowerUnit can be positioned in three configurations for floor cleaning, reaching below furniture, ceilings, stairs, and smaller cleaning jobs.
  • MultiFloor electrobrush: The 11-inch MultiFloor XXL Electrobrush is designed for different types of flooring and adjusts to floor surfaces.
  • Replaceable battery: The 25.2-volt lithium-ion battery can be removed and recharged separately from the vacuum.
  • Vortex Technology: Miele’s Vortex Technology is part of the HX1 cleaning system.
  • Hygiene Lifetime Filter: The maintenance-free Hygiene Lifetime Filter is specified as the exhaust filter for the Triflex HX1.
  • Electronic suction control: A three-level slide control provides electronic suction power adjustment.
  • Flexible storage: The vacuum can be suspended from the supplied wall mount or stand upright with the recharging cable connected directly to the machine.

What Makes This Model Stand Out

The Triflex system is the defining feature of this vacuum. Rather than keeping the motor and dust bin in one fixed position, the HX1 lets you reposition the PowerUnit for a lower center of gravity, easier reach below furniture, or handheld cleaning.

The battery and storage design also add practical flexibility. The battery is replaceable and separately rechargeable, while the HX1 can be wall-mounted, charged through the machine, or stored upright in its floor-cleaning configuration.

Product Comparisons

HX1 vs HX1 Cat & Dog

Both are part of Miele’s Triflex HX1 family, but Miele identifies the Cat & Dog model with an ElectroCompact hand-held brush, HEPA Lifetime Filter, and BrilliantLight LED headlight. The provided specifications for this HX1 list the MultiFloor electrobrush and Hygiene Lifetime Filter instead.

HX1 vs HX1 Pro

Miele identifies the HX1 Pro as a Triflex variant with a HEPA Lifetime Filter and BrilliantLight LED headlight. Material number 11423890 is identified in the data sheet as the standard Triflex HX1 in ruby red velvet.

Stick vs Canister

The HX1 is cordless and uses a repositionable PowerUnit, while a canister vacuum keeps its motor and dust container in a separate floor-based canister connected by a hose. A hands-on demonstration can help determine which format feels more natural for your home.

Miele vs SEBO

Miele and SEBO offer different vacuum formats and cleaning approaches. SEBO is known mainly for upright vacuums, while this Miele is a cordless stick model; an in-store demonstration can help compare handling and floor-cleaning preferences.

Applicable rights and earlier purchases

This policy applies to online and in-store purchases. We will honor more favorable written return terms provided with an earlier purchase. Applicable consumer rights remain unaffected. Where the European Union 14-day cancellation right applies, customers may cancel or return eligible orders within 14 days of receipt, subject to applicable legal exceptions, without giving a reason.
