Product Overview
The Miele Guard L1 AllFloor is a bagged canister vacuum for homes with more than one type of flooring. Its AllFloor brush is designed to move between carpet and hard surfaces without requiring a floorhead change, making the machine straightforward to use during everyday cleaning.
Four selectable power modes provide control for different cleaning tasks. The plus/minus footswitches let you adjust suction without bending down, while the telescopic suction wand and Comfort handle 2.0 support a more ergonomic cleaning setup.
For whole-home reach, the vacuum provides a 36-foot operating radius from its 24-foot cord. DynamicDrive wheels are described as quiet and gentle, and the rear park system lets you secure the floorhead and wand during a pause.
The Guard L1 AllFloor uses a HyClean Pure TU dustbag with a listed 3.7-quart capacity. Its AirClean Plus filter system is rated for more than 99.99% dust retention according to the cited IEC 62885-2:2021 standard.
Expert Recommendation
We recommend this model for shoppers who want one corded vacuum for carpet and hard floors, along with the convenience of a bagged design. The AllFloor brush, four power settings, integrated tools, and long operating radius make it well suited to routine cleaning throughout a home.
It is also a sensible choice for buyers who prioritize dust containment and filtration. Miele lists ComfortFit, a HyClean Pure TU FilterBag, and an AirClean Plus exhaust filter, while the bag-change indicator helps show when the bag needs attention.
A different vacuum type may be a better fit if cordless operation, a handheld format, or an upright design is more important than a canister's reach and floorhead flexibility. Ace Vacuums can help compare this Guard L1 model with other available vacuum styles.

Not Ideal For
- It is not a cordless vacuum; it requires access to a power outlet and uses a 24-foot cord.

Product Comparisons
Guard L1 AllFloor vs Another Miele Series
The Guard L1 AllFloor is defined by its AllFloor brush, four selectable power modes, HyClean Pure TU bag, and AirClean Plus filter. A different Miele series may use another floorhead or accessory package, so compare the included tools and floor-cleaning system when choosing between models.
Canister vs Upright
This model places the motor and dustbag in a canister that moves behind you, with a separate wand and floorhead connected by a hose. An upright keeps its cleaning components in one upright body, so the two formats feel different during storage, steering, and floor cleaning.
Stick vs Canister
The Guard L1 is a corded, bagged canister with a 36-foot operating radius and a 15-pound listed weight. Stick vacuums are a different format generally chosen for a slimmer, more compact setup, while this Miele emphasizes canister reach, filtration, and a larger dustbag.
Miele vs SEBO
Miele is especially associated with canister vacuums such as the Guard L1 AllFloor, while SEBO is known mainly for upright vacuums. The right choice depends on preferred format, floorhead design, and handling; an in-store demonstration can make the differences easier to judge.
Questions Buyers Commonly Ask
Is the Miele Guard L1 AllFloor worth considering for mixed flooring?
Yes, if you want a corded bagged canister with one floorbrush for different surfaces. The AllFloor brush and four power modes are the main reasons to consider it for a mixed-floor home.
Is it good for pet hair?
The source confirms that it is designed for multiple floor types, but it does not provide a pet-hair rating or a pet-specific powered tool. For homes with substantial pet hair, ask Ace Vacuums about a model and floorhead specifically intended for that use.
Is this a quiet vacuum?
Miele describes the DynamicDrive wheels as quiet and gentle, and lists a sound level of 75 dB. Actual perception can vary with the power setting and floor surface.
Does it work well on hardwood and carpet?
The included AllFloor brush is designed for all floor surfaces, including hard flooring and carpet. The four power settings let you select a cleaning level for the task.
How often will I need to change the bag?
The product has a FilterBag change indicator, but the source does not state a replacement interval. Actual timing depends on how much and how often you vacuum.

Shipping, Return & Refund Policy
Shipping Policy
In-stock merchandise generally ships from our Leesburg, Virginia location within 3–5 business days. Processing time is separate from carrier transit time and is not a guaranteed delivery date. Weekends and holidays can affect timing. Special-order, backordered or unavailable items may take longer; contact us to confirm timing before purchase when a deadline matters.
Shipping options and charges are shown at checkout. After dispatch, follow the carrier's tracking updates. Weather, carrier delays, order verification and inventory confirmation may affect delivery. Inspect packages promptly and retain packaging if there is damage or an incorrect or missing item.
Returns and refunds
Eligible unused items have a 30-calendar-day return request window for refunds or exchanges, measured from delivery or in-store purchase. Return authorization is required. Final-sale exclusions, the 15% restocking fee for change-of-mind returns and shipping responsibilities are explained in our Return and Refund Policy. That policy is the governing source for return eligibility and fees.
For shipping or return help, email sales@acevacuums.com or call 703-997-9292.
30-Day Returns, Refunds and Exchanges
Updated September 27, 2026. Request a return for an eligible unused item within 30 calendar days of delivery (or purchase for items collected in store). Eligible returns may be refunded to the original payment method or exchanged, subject to availability. The same 30-day request window applies to both refunds and exchanges; there is no separate seven-day or 15-day refund deadline.
Eligibility and authorization
Items must be unused, clean, complete and in their original packaging with all accessories, manuals and proof of purchase. Contact sales@acevacuums.com or 703-997-9292 before sending anything back. Include your order number, item and reason for return. We will confirm eligibility, charges and return instructions. Unapproved or cash-on-delivery returns are not accepted.
Fees and shipping
For an approved change-of-mind return, a 15% restocking fee applies to the returned merchandise price. Original shipping charges are not refundable and the customer pays return shipping. These charges do not apply to an approved return caused by our shipping error or a damaged/defective item claim. Contact us first so we can arrange the appropriate remedy and shipping instructions. Do not assume a prepaid label is included.
Final-sale and excluded items
Air purifiers; discounted, clearance, trade-in, holiday-sale and price-matched purchases; gift cards; custom or special-order products; electrical parts; used or installed items; opened cleaning solutions; and used bags, filters, belts or other consumables are not eligible for change-of-mind returns. Other items clearly marked final sale at purchase are also excluded. An opened box alone does not disqualify an otherwise eligible unused, complete item, but consumables and cleaning solutions must remain unopened.
Damaged, defective, incorrect or missing items; recalls
Inspect your order promptly and contact us as soon as you discover a problem, with your order number and photos where helpful. Keep the packaging. Change-of-mind exclusions and deadlines do not remove applicable defect, warranty, recall or statutory rights. Warranty coverage requires evaluation under the manufacturer's terms; dealer status does not guarantee free repair. Recalled products must follow the manufacturer's recall process.
Refund timing and exchanges
After we receive and inspect the return, we will notify you of approval or the reason it cannot be accepted. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval; your bank may take additional time to post them. Contact us if more than 15 business days have passed since approval. Exchanges require authorization and replacement availability; any price difference and applicable charges will be explained before processing.
Applicable rights and earlier purchases
This policy applies to online and in-store purchases. We will honor more favorable written return terms provided with an earlier purchase. Applicable consumer rights remain unaffected.
