Product Overview
The Miele B990E Rotary Iron uses a rotating roller and heated ironing plate to press laundry with consistent contact across the working area. The 32 3/4-inch roller is suited to large pieces, while the laundry feed board and infeed board help organize loading.
High contact pressure reduces the need for the physical effort associated with manual ironing. Miele lists a pressure of 0.51 psi (0.35) and notes that the system is designed to make pressing easier without requiring users to apply pressure by hand.
Temperature selection can be matched to the care label of the textile. Variable roller speed gives you control over the working pace, while the free roller end helps with garments and other items that can be difficult to position on a conventional ironing surface.
Expert Recommendation
We recommend this rotary iron for households that regularly press sheets, table linens, shirts, uniforms, or other large laundry pieces. The wide roller, storage area, airing bar, and seated operation make it more purpose-built for repeated laundry work than a handheld iron.
The B990E is most appropriate when you have room for a floor-standing appliance and want the added capacity of a rotary system. A conventional iron may be a better fit for occasional touch-ups or users who do not want to store a larger appliance; the provided information does not identify a sibling Miele rotary-iron model for a direct model comparison.
If fit, electrical requirements, or installation details are important for your laundry area, Ace Vacuums can help confirm the product information before purchase.

Product Comparisons
Rotary Iron vs Handheld Iron
A rotary iron uses a heated plate and rotating roller to move laundry through a broad pressing area, while a handheld iron is guided across a stationary surface. The Miele system is particularly suited to large laundry pieces and repeated ironing; a handheld iron may be simpler for occasional touch-ups.
Rotary Iron vs Traditional Ironing Board
The B990E combines the pressing surface and roller movement in one floor-standing appliance. It also adds variable roller speed, seated operation, an airing bar, and folding storage, while a traditional ironing board does not provide those stated rotary-iron features.
Wide Roller vs Small Pressing Surface
The B990E has a 32 3/4-inch roller that provides a broad working area for large pieces. Smaller pressing surfaces may require more repositioning of sheets, linens, or other wide items, although the provided information does not specify measurements for other products.
Miele Rotary Iron vs Other Machine Types
This product is a dedicated rotary ironer rather than a handheld iron or a standard ironing board. An in-store demonstration can help determine whether its floor-standing format, folding mechanism, and seated operation suit your laundry routine.
Questions Buyers Commonly Ask
Is it worth choosing a rotary iron instead of a regular iron?
It depends on how often you iron and what you press. The B990E is designed for repeated work and large laundry pieces, while a regular iron may be more practical for occasional use.
Is the Miele B990E good for bed sheets and table linens?
Its 32 3/4-inch roller and laundry feed board are well suited to large laundry pieces. The storage space and airing bar also support handling items after pressing.
Can I operate it without standing?
Yes. Miele lists effortless ironing while seated as a feature, and foot-switch operation leaves both hands free for guiding the laundry.
Will it fit in a smaller laundry area?
The appliance folds and measures 19 3/4 W x 41 5/8 H x 15 D inches when folded. Check those dimensions against your intended storage area, including the height.

The manufacturer lists an automatic finger guard that stops the motor and lifts the plate when contacted. It also includes an emergency release for removing laundry manually.

Shipping, Return & Refund Policy
Shipping Policy
In-stock merchandise generally ships from our Leesburg, Virginia location within 3–5 business days. Processing time is separate from carrier transit time and is not a guaranteed delivery date. Weekends and holidays can affect timing. Special-order, backordered or unavailable items may take longer; contact us to confirm timing before purchase when a deadline matters.
Shipping options and charges are shown at checkout. After dispatch, follow the carrier's tracking updates. Weather, carrier delays, order verification and inventory confirmation may affect delivery. Inspect packages promptly and retain packaging if there is damage or an incorrect or missing item.
Returns and refunds
Eligible unused items have a 30-calendar-day return request window for refunds or exchanges, measured from delivery or in-store purchase. Return authorization is required. Final-sale exclusions, the 15% restocking fee for change-of-mind returns and shipping responsibilities are explained in our Return and Refund Policy. That policy is the governing source for return eligibility and fees.
For shipping or return help, email sales@acevacuums.com or call 703-997-9292.
30-Day Returns, Refunds and Exchanges
Updated September 27, 2026. Request a return for an eligible unused item within 30 calendar days of delivery (or purchase for items collected in store). Eligibility and authorization
Items must be unused, clean, complete and in their original packaging with all accessories, manuals and proof of purchase. Contact sales@acevacuums.com or 703-997-9292 before sending anything back. Damaged, defective, incorrect or missing items; recalls
Inspect your order promptly and contact us as soon as you discover a problem, with your order number and photos where helpful. Keep the packaging. Change-of-mind exclusions and deadlines do not remove applicable defect, warranty, recall or statutory rights. Warranty coverage requires evaluation under the manufacturer's terms; dealer status does not guarantee free repair. Recalled products must follow the manufacturer's recall process.
Refund timing and exchanges
After we receive and inspect the return, we will notify you of approval or the reason it cannot be accepted. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval; your bank may take additional time to post them.
