Common repair problem in Oreck vacuum cleaner | Sameday vacuum repair

Here are some common repair problems with Oreck vacuum cleaners:
  • Oreck Belt problems
    If the belt is stretched and has a pointier spot, the motor pulley may have been rubbing against it. This can be caused by thick carpet, full bags, or dirty beater bar bearings.
  • My oreck has a burning hair smell 
    This can be caused by too much hair caught in the beater brush bearings. The bearings should be cleaned regularly.
    Oreck Roller not spinning.
    It could be because the oreck belt is stretched out or the hair and thread is wrapped around the oreck roller bearings and damaged the oreck roller.
    Oreck bag comes out of the latch.
    If the oreck bag is not installed in properly or if the oreck bag holder is broken, then the bag will not stay in the latch. This will make the oreck vacuum to blow the dust into the room and could create allergies. 
    Oreck electric cord is broken. 
    If the oreck vacuum cord is broken, immediately replace the electric cord before operating the oreck vacuum cleaner.

    Why does my Oreck vacuum keep shutting off?
    There is likely a blockage of a hairball where the inlet T hose is for the brush roller. Remove the inlet T hose, and unclog the pipe if necessary. If the oreck vacuum has been running with any blockage, the oreck motor will overheat, and there is a thermal cut-off that will turn the motor off.
