Quick Summary

The Nadair ST-700-25H is a compact central vacuum power unit with 700 airwatts, 141.2 inches of water lift, and 140.2 CFM of airflow. Its 25 L bottom-load canister and hybrid filtration system let you operate it with a disposable bag or in bagless mode with the permanent washable filter installed.

Authorized Nadair Dealer Ace Vacuums can help you compare this whole-house vacuum with your existing piping and choose compatible hose and attachment options. The unit includes a 10-year residential warranty, with 1 year of labor coverage.

Quick Highlights

  • 700 airwatts with a 5.7-inch, 2-stage Ametek thru-flow motor
  • 141.2 inches of water lift and 140.2 CFM airflow
  • 63 dB sound level with foam isolation and an integrated muffler
  • 25 L / 6.6 gal bottom-load rolled steel canister
  • 10-year residential parts warranty with 1 year of labor

Product Overview

The Nadair ST-700-25H is designed for homeowners who want a compact central vacuum system with strong airflow and flexible filtration. It connects to an existing central vacuum piping network and is operated through compatible hose inlets rather than carried from room to room like a portable vacuum.

Its 700-airwatt motor produces 141.2 inches of water lift and 140.2 CFM. That combination provides the power unit's stated suction and airflow performance, while the 63 dB operating level, noise-isolating foam, and integrated muffler help reduce sound at the machine.

The hybrid cyclonic filtration system can be used with or without disposable filtration bags. One triple-layer disposable bag and one permanent machine-washable filter are included, and Nadair states that the filtration system filters up to 99.97%. The permanent filter must remain installed during operation, including when a bag is being used.

A bottom-load 25 L canister gives the ST-700-25H a practical balance between capacity and compact dimensions. The rolled steel canister is designed to resist wear, corrosion, and damage, while the top air intake helps simplify installation on an existing piping network.

Expert Recommendation

This model is a good fit when you want hybrid operation, a 25 L capacity, and the compact format of Nadair's ST Series. Bagged operation can make debris disposal more contained, while bagless operation avoids regular disposable-bag use; either method still requires the permanent filter to stay in place and receive the required care.

The ST-700-25H is not automatically the right choice for every home or piping layout. Ace Vacuums can help size the unit for the home and piping run, confirm that the existing system uses compatible 2-inch outside-diameter PVC piping, and identify a hose and attachment kit that matches the home's low-voltage or electric inlet configuration.

A sibling model may be preferable when priorities differ. The ST-700-35H provides the same listed motor performance, airflow, water lift, noise level, and hybrid filtration but increases capacity to 35 L / 9.25 gal. The less expensive ST-600-18B has an 18 L canister and is bag-only, while the HD-750 models add higher listed performance and soft start/stop.

Best For

Hybrid Filtration

A useful choice for homeowners who want the option of using a triple-layer disposable bag or operating bagless with the included permanent washable filter.

Compact Utility Areas

The compact ST Series format and top air intake can work well where an existing central vacuum piping network must be connected in a limited indoor utility space.

Contained Debris Disposal

Bagged operation offers a more contained way to remove collected debris, while the 25 L / 6.6 gal canister provides room for routine whole-house cleaning.

Filtration-Focused Homes

The hybrid cyclonic filtration system is stated to filter up to 99.97% and includes a triple-layer bag plus a permanent filter.

Quieter Utility Locations

The 63 dB rating, noise-isolating foam, and integrated muffler are intended to reduce operating noise at the power unit.

Existing Systems

The top air intake and compatibility with standard 2-inch outside-diameter PVC central vacuum piping support replacement or connection to an existing network.

Not Ideal For

  • It is not a complete cleaning kit. The hose and attachments are sold separately and must match the home's inlet and wiring configuration.
  • Homeowners who want the largest ST Series debris capacity may prefer the ST-700-35H, which has a 35 L canister compared with this model's 25 L capacity.
  • This model is not bag-free by default: the permanent filter must remain installed at all times, and bagless operation still requires filter washing and maintenance.
  • It needs an appropriate indoor installation location, compatible piping, low-voltage hose wiring, and a suitable electrical connection.

Key Features

  • 700 Airwatts: The 5.7-inch, 2-stage Ametek thru-flow motor is rated at 700 airwatts.
  • Strong Airflow: The unit is rated at 141.2 inches of water lift and 140.2 CFM.
  • Hybrid Filtration: Use the system with a disposable bag or in bagless mode with the permanent washable filter installed.
  • 25 L Canister: The 6.6-gallon bottom-load canister provides a removable debris container for routine maintenance.
  • Rolled Steel Body: The rolled steel canister is designed to resist wear, corrosion, and damage.
  • Noise Isolation: Noise-isolating foam and an integrated muffler support the stated 63 dB sound level.
  • Top Air Intake: The top intake is designed to make connection to an existing piping network easier.
  • LED Indicator: An LED indicator displays the status of the power unit.
  • Long Warranty: The residential warranty provides 10 years of parts coverage on specified components and 1 year of labor.

What Makes This Model Stand Out

The main advantage of the ST-700-25H is its balance of capacity, performance, and filtration flexibility. It has the same listed 700-airwatt motor performance as the larger ST-700-35H, but uses a 25 L canister in the more compact ST Series format.

The hybrid design also gives homeowners a choice in everyday maintenance. Use the included triple-layer bag when you prefer disposable containment, or operate bagless with the included permanent filter; in both cases, the permanent filter must stay installed and must be washed with cold water whenever the canister is emptied.

Product Comparisons

ST-700-25H vs ST-700-35H

Both models are rated at 700 airwatts, 141.2 inches of water lift, 140.2 CFM, and 63 dB, and both use hybrid filtration with or without a disposable bag. The ST-700-35H increases canister capacity from 25 L / 6.6 gal to 35 L / 9.25 gal, so it may be a better fit when less frequent emptying is more important than compact capacity.

ST-700-25H vs ST-600-18B

The ST-600-18B is a smaller 18 L / 4.75 gal bag-only unit with 600 airwatts, 140.9 inches of water lift, 127.1 CFM, and a 62 dB rating. The ST-700-25H offers higher listed airwatts and airflow, a larger canister, and the option of bagless operation.

ST-700-25H vs HD-750-22H

The HD-750-22H is rated at 750 airwatts, 146 inches of water lift, and 141.2 CFM, compared with 700 airwatts, 141.2 inches, and 140.2 CFM for the ST-700-25H. The HD model has a 22 L / 5.81 gal canister, a 65 dB rating, hybrid filtration, and soft start/stop, while the ST model has a 25 L / 6.6 gal canister and a 63 dB rating.

Central Vacuum vs Portable Vacuum

A central vacuum power unit stays in a garage, basement, or other suitable indoor utility location, so you do not carry the main machine from room to room. The system connects to inlets through installed piping, and its exhaust can be vented outdoors when the installation allows; the hose and cleaning tools are separate components.

Questions Buyers Commonly Ask

Can I use the ST-700-25H with my existing central vacuum piping?

The unit is designed to fit existing standard 2-inch outside-diameter PVC central vacuum piping meeting ASTM F2158. Ace Vacuums can help verify the piping and evaluate the home's piping run before selecting the power unit.

Can I run it with or without a disposable bag?

Yes. The hybrid filtration system supports bagged or bagless operation, and one triple-layer disposable bag is included. The permanent filter must remain installed in either mode.

Is the permanent filter washable?

Yes. Nadair's manual instructs users to wash the permanent filter with cold water each time the canister is emptied. It should be replaced every year to maintain the warranty.

Does the package include a hose and attachments?

No hose or cleaning attachment kit is listed as included. These items are sold separately and must match the home's inlets, including whether the system uses low-voltage or electric hose operation.

How often should I empty the canister or replace the bag?

The manual advises replacing the bag or emptying the canister three or four times per year. Actual timing depends on use, and the permanent filter should be washed with cold water whenever the canister is emptied.

Nadair advises emptying the canister or replacing the bag three or four times per year. The actual schedule depends on how much the system is used.

What is the canister capacity?

The bottom-load rolled steel canister holds 25 L, or 6.6 gallons. Its removable design is intended to make emptying easier wherever the unit is installed.

What warranty comes with this central vacuum power unit?

The residential warranty lasts 10 years for parts on the motor, electronic module, body, housing, and dust canister, with 1 year of labor. The warranty is for residential use only, and the filter replacement schedule must be followed to maintain it.

Can Ace Vacuums help determine whether this model fits my home?

Yes. Ace Vacuums can help size the unit for the home and piping run, verify piping compatibility, and identify a hose and attachment kit that matches the home's inlet and wiring configuration.

Shipping, Return & Refund Policy

Shipping Policy

In-stock merchandise generally ships from our Leesburg, Virginia location within 3–5 business days. Processing time is separate from carrier transit time and is not a guaranteed delivery date. Weekends and holidays can affect timing. Special-order, backordered or unavailable items may take longer; contact us to confirm timing before purchase when a deadline matters.

Shipping options and charges are shown at checkout. After dispatch, follow the carrier's tracking updates. Weather, carrier delays, order verification and inventory confirmation may affect delivery. Inspect packages promptly and retain packaging if there is damage or an incorrect or missing item.

Returns and refunds

Eligible unused items have a 30-calendar-day return request window for refunds or exchanges, measured from delivery or in-store purchase. Return authorization is required. Final-sale exclusions, the 15% restocking fee for change-of-mind returns and shipping responsibilities are explained in our Return and Refund Policy. That policy is the governing source for return eligibility and fees.

For shipping or return help, email sales@acevacuums.com or call 703-997-9292.

30-Day Returns, Refunds and Exchanges

Updated September 27, 2026. Request a return for an eligible unused item within 30 calendar days of delivery (or purchase for items collected in store). Eligible returns may be refunded to the original payment method or exchanged, subject to availability. The same 30-day request window applies to both refunds and exchanges; there is no separate seven-day or 15-day refund deadline.

Eligibility and authorization

Items must be unused, clean, complete and in their original packaging with all accessories, manuals and proof of purchase. Contact sales@acevacuums.com or 703-997-9292 before sending anything back. Include your order number, item and reason for return. We will confirm eligibility, charges and return instructions. Unapproved or cash-on-delivery returns are not accepted.

Fees and shipping

For an approved change-of-mind return, a 15% restocking fee applies to the returned merchandise price. Original shipping charges are not refundable and the customer pays return shipping. These charges do not apply to an approved return caused by our shipping error or a damaged/defective item claim. Contact us first so we can arrange the appropriate remedy and shipping instructions. Do not assume a prepaid label is included.

Final-sale and excluded items

Air purifiers; discounted, clearance, trade-in, holiday-sale and price-matched purchases; gift cards; custom or special-order products; electrical parts; used or installed items; opened cleaning solutions; and used bags, filters, belts or other consumables are not eligible for change-of-mind returns. Other items clearly marked final sale at purchase are also excluded. An opened box alone does not disqualify an otherwise eligible unused, complete item, but consumables and cleaning solutions must remain unopened.

Damaged, defective, incorrect or missing items; recalls

Inspect your order promptly and contact us as soon as you discover a problem, with your order number and photos where helpful. Keep the packaging. Change-of-mind exclusions and deadlines do not remove applicable defect, warranty, recall or statutory rights. Warranty coverage requires evaluation under the manufacturer's terms; dealer status does not guarantee free repair. Recalled products must follow the manufacturer's recall process.

Refund timing and exchanges

After we receive and inspect the return, we will notify you of approval or the reason it cannot be accepted. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval; your bank may take additional time to post them. Contact us if more than 15 business days have passed since approval. Exchanges require authorization and replacement availability; any price difference and applicable charges will be explained before processing.

Applicable rights and earlier purchases

This policy applies to online and in-store purchases. We will honor more favorable written return terms provided with an earlier purchase. Applicable consumer rights remain unaffected. Where the European Union 14-day cancellation right applies, customers may cancel or return eligible orders within 14 days of receipt, subject to applicable legal exceptions, without giving a reason.

Recommended Nadair Products

Build your cleaning setup with useful accessories. Compare the hose connection and kit contents before choosing; complete kits are alternative setups.

Check your system and connections

Hose fit depends on your wall inlet, handle, wand and electrical connection. Round 1¼-inch tools do not fit every proprietary or D-shaped handle. A low-voltage hose controls suction but cannot power a corded electric brush. Pigtail hoses need a nearby electrical outlet; direct-connect hoses need matching powered inlets. Check what a complete kit already includes.

Find the correct bag or filter

Match the full power-unit model, production version, bag collar and filter dimensions. Cyclonic, disposable-bag and permanent-filter systems use different supplies. A similar size or shared brand name is not enough to confirm fit. If a matching supply is not shown, send us the model label and a photo of the old bag or filter. Shop central vacuum bags & filters
