Where does the brush get its power?
Power from a nearby outlet
A short power cord at the wall end of the hose plugs into a suitable nearby electrical outlet. The vacuum inlet and hose controls must still be compatible.
Motor control is a different job
Low-voltage contacts switch the central power unit. A low-voltage-only hose does not supply mains power to an electric carpet brush. Compare air-driven alternatives →

Measure the cleaning route, not a straight line. Allow for furniture, stairs and the path from the real inlet. A 35-foot hose adds reach but also changes handling and storage.

Wall inlet
Photograph the open inlet face without removing its cover or wiring.
Both hose ends
Show the wall cuff, handle and electrical connectors.
Wand and powerhead
Include the head label and the connection where the wand meets the brush.
Also send a photo of the power-unit label and describe your flooring. Do not open electrical covers for photos.
Questions customers ask
Is an electric kit better than an air kit?
An electric brush has its own motor and can be useful for carpet agitation. Air-driven tools rely on suction airflow. The right choice depends on floor-care instructions, carpet type, connections and handling—not just the brand on the central unit.
Can I use a pigtail kit without changing my wall inlet?
Often, if the vacuum cuff and controls fit and a suitable outlet is within reach of the supplied cord. Have those details checked first; never modify a plug or inlet to force a fit.
Will a new kit fix weak suction?
No kit can correct a blocked pipe, leaking seal or restricted power unit. Investigate weak suction before choosing a replacement cleaning head.
Can I keep my existing electric hose?
Possibly. Match the electrical connector, handle dimensions, wand lock and powerhead requirements. A kit sold without a hose is only useful if those components are confirmed compatible.
What about delicate rugs or hard floors?
Follow the flooring manufacturer’s care instructions. Use the suitable hard-floor tool and avoid a rotating brush on surfaces where the manufacturer advises against it.
