Product Overview
The Miele Complete C3 HomeCare Electro+ SEB 228 is a bagged canister vacuum built around Miele’s Complete C3 platform. It combines a 1,200-watt PowerLine motor, electronic suction adjustment, a 36-foot operating radius, and a broad selection of floor and above-floor tools.
Its main carpet-cleaning tool is the SEB 228 electrobrush. Because the electrobrush is electrically powered, it is a distinct part of the cleaning system rather than a passive floor nozzle. The package also includes the SBD 365-3 floorhead for additional floor-care flexibility.
For filtration and debris containment, the vacuum uses HyClean GN FilterBags with a stated 4.8-quart capacity and a HEPA AirClean exhaust filter. A FilterBag change indicator and filter-change indicator help identify when maintenance is needed.
Expert Recommendation
We recommend this Complete C3 configuration for homes that need one corded vacuum for carpet, rugs, hard-floor areas, upholstery, and detailed cleaning. The SEB 228 electrobrush, adjustable suction, flexible crevice tools, and dusting accessories give it a broader cleaning setup than a canister sold with only a basic floorhead.
A different vacuum type may be a better fit if your priority is cordless operation, a very lightweight body, or a bagless design. Within the information supplied for this product, no specific sibling Complete C3 model is identified for a direct model-to-model comparison, so Ace Vacuums can help compare available configurations and confirm which accessory set fits your rooms.
Best For
Carpet and Rugs
The included SEB 228 electrobrush provides electrically powered brush action for carpet cleaning. Electronic suction adjustment lets you change the setting from the canister.
Hardwood Floors
The package includes the SBD 365-3 floorhead and flexible universal brush SUB 10, giving you tools beyond the powered electrobrush for different floor-care tasks.
Pet Owners
The powered electrobrush and broad accessory set can help address floor and upholstery cleaning where hair and debris collect. The source does not state a specific pet-hair rating.
Allergy Sufferers
The exhaust filter is a HEPA AirClean filter, and the vacuum uses a bagged system with a FilterBag change indicator. Miele does not provide an allergy-performance certification in the supplied source.
Large Homes
The 36-foot operating radius and 4.8-quart dustbag support extended cleaning sessions. The corded canister design is intended for whole-home cleaning rather than quick cordless touch-ups.
Above-Floor Cleaning
The upholstery nozzle, dust brush, flexible universal brush, and two crevice-tool options cover furniture, narrow spaces, and detailed cleaning.
Not Ideal For
- Shoppers who specifically want cordless convenience may prefer a cordless vacuum format instead of this corded canister.
- People looking for an ultra-lightweight vacuum should note that this model weighs 23 pounds.
- Buyers who prefer bagless dust collection will not find that design here; this model uses HyClean GN FilterBags.
- Small cleaning jobs may not require the full-size canister body, telescopic wand, powered electrobrush, and accessory package.
Key Features
- SEB 228 Electrobrush: The electrically powered SEB 228 electrobrush is included for cleaning carpeted surfaces.
- Electronic Suction Control: Plus and minus footswitches let you adjust suction from the canister.
- HEPA AirClean Filter: The exhaust system uses a HEPA AirClean filter, and the vacuum includes a filter-change indicator.
- Large Dustbag: The vacuum uses a 4.8-quart HyClean GN FilterBag for less frequent bag changes than smaller bagged systems.
- 36-Foot Operating Radius: The 24-foot cord and 36-foot operating radius support cleaning across larger areas with fewer outlet changes.
- Quiet Operation Features: Miele lists a Silence system and additional features intended to make operation more comfortable.
- Integrated Accessories: The package includes an upholstery nozzle, crevice nozzle, dust brush, and flexible universal brush.
- One-Touch Cord Rewind: Tapping the footswitch automatically rewinds the power cord.
What Makes This Model Stand Out
The strongest feature of this configuration is its combination of a powered SEB 228 electrobrush and a complete collection of tools. You can move from carpet cleaning to upholstery, crevices, dusting, and other above-floor tasks without relying on one universal nozzle.
The Complete C3 also focuses on controlled, organized operation. Footswitch suction controls, one-touch cord rewind, a park system, caster wheels, a furniture-protection strip, and a 36-foot operating radius are all included in the stated specification set.
Product Comparisons
Complete C3 HomeCare Electro+ vs Another Miele Canister Configuration
This package is defined by the SEB 228 electrobrush, SBD 365-3 floorhead, HEPA AirClean filter, and expanded accessory set listed by Miele. Other Miele canister configurations may use different floorheads or accessories, so compare the included tools rather than assuming all Complete C3 packages are identical.
Canister vs Upright
A canister design separates the main vacuum body from the wand and floorhead, which can be useful when switching between floor and above-floor tools. An upright keeps the cleaning head and body together; an in-store demonstration can help determine which format feels more natural in your home.
Stick vs Canister
This Miele is a corded, bagged canister with a 36-foot operating radius, large dustbag, telescopic wand, and multiple attachments. A stick vacuum is generally chosen for a slimmer, more portable format, while this canister setup emphasizes a broader tool selection and extended cleaning.
Miele vs SEBO
Both brands are available through Ace Vacuums, but this product is a Miele canister with a HEPA AirClean filter, HyClean GN bag, and SEB 228 electrobrush. SEBO is known mainly for upright vacuums; an in-store demo is a practical way to compare handling and floorhead design.
Questions Buyers Commonly Ask
Is it good for pet hair?
The SEB 228 electrobrush provides powered brush action and is included with the vacuum, making this configuration suitable for carpet-focused cleaning where hair and debris may collect. The supplied Miele source does not state a pet-hair certification or test result.
Is it worth choosing a bagged canister?
This model is useful if you want a large 4.8-quart dustbag, a FilterBag change indicator, a 36-foot operating radius, and a wide accessory selection. It is less suitable if your priority is bagless maintenance or cordless portability.
Is it quiet?
Miele lists a Silence system for this model. No decibel figure is provided, so the vacuum should be evaluated by demonstration rather than a specific noise comparison.
Can it clean an entire house?
The 36-foot operating radius, 24-foot cord, telescopic wand, and multiple floorheads support whole-home cleaning. The 23-pound full-size design may be more vacuum than needed for very small spaces.
What makes this a HomeCare model?
The supplied model name is Complete C3 Home Care E.+, and the package lists a broad group of floor, upholstery, dusting, and crevice accessories. The description here does not assign any additional warranty or service benefit beyond the stated product information.

For an approved change-of-mind return, a 15% restocking fee applies to the returned merchandise price. Original shipping charges are not refundable and the customer pays return shipping. These charges do not apply to an approved return caused by our shipping error or a damaged/defective item claim. Contact us first so we can arrange the appropriate remedy and shipping instructions. Do not assume a prepaid label is included.
Final-sale and excluded items
Air purifiers; discounted, clearance, trade-in, holiday-sale and price-matched purchases; gift cards; custom or special-order products; electrical parts; used or installed items; opened cleaning solutions; and used bags, filters, belts or other consumables are not eligible for change-of-mind returns. Other items clearly marked final sale at purchase are also excluded. An opened box alone does not disqualify an otherwise eligible unused, complete item, but consumables and cleaning solutions must remain unopened.
Damaged, defective, incorrect or missing items; recalls
Inspect your order promptly and contact us as soon as you discover a problem, with your order number and photos where helpful. Keep the packaging. Change-of-mind exclusions and deadlines do not remove applicable defect, warranty, recall or statutory rights. Warranty coverage requires evaluation under the manufacturer's terms; dealer status does not guarantee free repair. Recalled products must follow the manufacturer's recall process.
Refund timing and exchanges
After we receive and inspect the return, we will notify you of approval or the reason it cannot be accepted. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval; your bank may take additional time to post them. Contact us if more than 15 business days have passed since approval. Exchanges require authorization and replacement availability; any price difference and applicable charges will be explained before processing.
Applicable rights and earlier purchases
This policy applies to online and in-store purchases. We will honor more favorable written return terms provided with an earlier purchase. Applicable consumer rights remain unaffected. Where the European Union 14-day cancellation right applies, customers may cancel or return eligible orders within 14 days of receipt, subject to applicable legal exceptions, without giving a reason.
