Which Replacement Bag Fits My BEAM Central Vacuum?
Ace Vacuums · BEAM owner guides
Choose a BEAM replacement bag by the full power-unit model, the bag code and the collection connection. Check the collar and any inlet openings as well as the size. A bag carrying the BEAM name is not automatically the correct bag for every BEAM installation.
If you have the old package, start with its part number. If you do not, photograph the power-unit label and the installed bag connection before ordering. Our BEAM bags directory lets you search the listed options by model or bag code.
Common BEAM bag numbers: where to start
The table below summarizes selected entries in BEAM’s bag and filter guide. These are starting points for a fit check. Preserve any prefixes or suffixes on your label and compare your actual collection setup.
| Power-unit model listed by BEAM | Bag reference |
|---|---|
| 205, 345, 360, 475, 495, 3600, 4500 | TDSAC93BM |
| 275 | TDSAC94N; BEAM also lists TDSAC92BM with the note “without round filter.” |
| 160, 165, 185, 262, 265, 282 | NUB69360 — ask us to check the replacement and current availability. |
BEAM’s TDSAC93BM product listing includes additional model numbers beyond its shorter lookup table. If your model is absent from the table above, send the full label and collar photo so we can check the appropriate reference.
Model 275 needs an extra check. Identify the existing round filter and collection arrangement before choosing between bag options. “Without round filter” describes the manufacturer’s bag listing; it is not an instruction to remove a filter from your vacuum.
Compare more than the bag’s overall size
A bag has to connect correctly inside the unit. A similar capacity or fabric appearance does not confirm that the collar will lock or seal as intended.
- Part code: copy the complete number from the old bag or box.
- Collar: compare its shape, opening, notches and attachment method.
- Inlet arrangement: check whether the installed bag connects at one point or uses more than one opening.
- Available space: confirm the intended bag length and how it sits in the collection compartment.
- Existing filters: note any separate permanent or round filter required by your model.
For example, TDSAC93BM and TDSAC93N are separate product codes. Similar lettering and a three-notch description are not enough to treat them as interchangeable. Use the full code and verify the fit.

Older BEAM systems and dual-inlet bags
Some older installations use a different bag arrangement from the current three-notch options. BEAM lists TDSACDPORT dual-inlet bags for specified earlier systems with a front utility inlet. That design has separate openings for the front inlet and the pipework connection.
If your unit has that setup, photograph both connections. Do not substitute a single-opening bag simply because its height looks right. Ask us to verify the correct style and availability if it is not shown in the directory.
For an existing two-hole arrangement, the catalog also lists BEAM #110073 two-hole bags with adapters. Confirm the required adapter and connection before selecting this option; do not assume it is interchangeable with TDSACDPORT.
The catalog also includes Beam / Eureka #4462 paper bags. Choose those only when your existing system calls for the #4462 configuration. An older age or a shared brand name does not establish that match.
If the label is difficult to read, our BEAM model-identification guide explains which photos and numbers are most useful.
Before changing a bag
- Disconnect the power unit from its electrical supply and use the collection-compartment instructions for the exact model.
- Compare the new bag code and connection with the old one before fitting it.
- Keep the required permanent filters in place. A disposable collection bag does not automatically replace them.
- Fit and secure the bag as the manufacturer directs; do not cut a collar or force an attachment to make it fit.
- Check that the collection compartment is correctly reassembled before reconnecting power.
Follow your model’s instructions for when to inspect and replace the bag. Usage and the material being collected vary, so a fixed calendar interval is not the right answer for every household.
If suction stays weak after routine bag maintenance, stop assuming the bag is the only cause. A hose obstruction, a sealing problem or another system fault may need central vacuum service.
Common BEAM bag questions
Can every BEAM vacuum run without a bag?
No universal rule applies. Some BEAM products are described as hybrid systems, but the allowed collection setup must come from the instructions for your exact model. Do not remove a required bag or filter to copy another unit’s setup.
Are short and full-size bags interchangeable?
Do not assume so. Check the part number, connection and intended collection arrangement. The short TDSAC92BM is a distinct listing from TDSAC93BM.
What if the bag I need is not listed?
Send the unit label, old bag code and collar photo. We can help check the replacement rather than having you guess from a similar product image.
